Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Communication
/No. 2536, reports as follows :
The purpose of Communication No. 2536 is to forward for review and
approval items agreed upon by the Employers and the Hawaii
Government Employees Association (HGEA) for Unit 3 (White Collar
Non-Supervisors) and Unit 4 (White Collar Supervisors) .
Attached to the communication are the agreed upon items with total
cost of adjustment for each of the mentioned bargaining Units 3 and
4 . Also included are cost items for excluded employees and excluded
managers . The negotiated cost items include adjustments to wages,
night differential, mileage, travel allowance and vision plan
benefits . No retirement benefits were included in determination of
fringe benefit rate as employer contributions are actuarially
determined in advance by Employees ' Retirement System.
Your Committee noted the required contribution to the Employee
Retirement System in 1991-92 will be $3 , 530, 666 and $8, 081, 900 in
1992-93 . These amounts will not change as a result of the HGEA
settlement.
Your Committee on Finance recommends approval of the negotiated
items for Units 3 and 4 .
