Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 431,
reports as follows :
Communication No. 2545, from the Finance Director, dated May 6,
1991, transmits for Council ' s consideration said Bill 431, which, if
adopted, would appropriate $40 donated by Mr. Steven A. Kornberg to
the Hawaii County Police Department ' s Police Activities League
(HI-PAL) to continue its recreational activities for youths .
Pursuant to Section 13-12, Hawaii County Charter, the Council, on
behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donation.
Your Committee on Finance recommends acceptance of the donation and
that Bill No . 431 pass first reading and that a letter of
appreciation be forwarded by the Council Chairman to Mr. Steven A.
Kornberg, thanking him for the kind donation.
