The purpose of Resolution No. 319-91 is to transfer and appropriate

Communication No. 2495, dated April 25, 1991 from the Finance
Director, transmits Resolution 319, transferring $44 ,300 . 00 from the
Contingency Account to cover anticipated shortages in the
Corporation Counsel ' s Mileage and Miscellaneous Contract Services
accounts .
Your Committee was informed the shortages are expected due to
additional weekly duties at the Kona office; additional costs for
expert witnesses and depositions; and increased number of settlement
of claims by the County.
Pursuant to Section 10-9 of the Hawaii County Charter, the Council,
by resolution, may transfer part or all of any unencumbered
appropriation balance from one agency to another.
