Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Communication
'No . 2341, reports as follows :
The purpose of Communication No . 2341 is to recommend the
appointment of the following:
Civil Service Commission
Mr . Nathan Kurashige, an independent from Holualoa,
Kona, to fill the vacancy created by the resignation
of Mrs . Jane Yanabu, for a term ending December 31,
1992 . Mr . Kurashige is an independent farmer and
president of the Kona Young Farmers Club; treasurer of
Yamaguchi Kenjin Kai and member of the Kaumalumalu
Kumiai Club. He served as state president of the
former Hawaii Young Farmers .
Pursuant to Section 7-1. 2 of the Hawaii County Charter, the Mayor
shall appoint members to the Commission to be confirmed by the
Council, as prescribed in Section 13-4 of the Hawaii County Charter .
Your Committee on Finance recommends approval of the appointment of
Mr . Nathan Kurashige to the Civil Service Commission.
