Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 401,
reports as follows :
Bill 401 proposes to amend Ordinance 90-75, the Capital Improvement
Budget for Fiscal Year 1990-91, by adding the following project :
Department of Parks and Recreation
Palace Theater Repairs and Renovations
(110-599-5592 . 63-115) $145, 000.00
Funds for the project shall be provided from:
State Grants Receivable $145, 000 . 00
The Director of Finance indicated subject funds have already been
received from the State and the Department of Parks and Recreation
proposes using appropriation for exterior and interior renovations
and improvements .
Your Committee on Finance was informed that the Palace Theater
project was designated by the State Legislature as a Hilo Main
Street project and it is administered by the County through the
Downtown Improvement Association.
Your Committee also notes that, subject to approval of Bill 401, all
State appropriations, a total of $445, 000 .00, have been received.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the intent and purpose
of Bill 401 and recommends that it pass first reading .
