Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution
No. 292-91, reports as follows:
The purpose of Resolution No. 292-91 is to obtain authorization to
permanently downgrade Position No. B004 . 1 from MC-5 to MC-4 to
conform with the Rules and Regulations of the Hawaii County Band.
Your Committee was informed that the band is divided into seven
sections, each with a designated MC-5 section leader. However,
because members with over 20 years service were "grandfathered" in
at the MC-5 level, there is presently an overage of (2) MC-5
positions . The proposed resolution will reduce the overage by (1)
position, with the remaining position downgraded upon retirement of
the individual .
Your Committee acknowledges Resolution 184 , adopted May 7, 1990,
similarly downgraded two positions .
Your Committee on Finance concurs with the intent of Resolution
No. 292-91 and recommends its adoption.
