Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution
No . 288-91, reports as follows:
The purpose of Resolution No. 288-91 is to transfer and appropriate
$700 as follows :

010-101-5101. 06-450 Clerk/Office Equipment
Resolution No. 288 proposes to transfer and appropriate subject
funds to purchase a new 75 watt amplifier, which can better
accommodate additional speakers, for the Council ' s portable system.
Your Committee understands that both the public and the Council
complained of the inadequacy of the public address system during a
recent Kona Council meeting and recognizes this resolution is a
means of obtaining Council support for purchase of needed equipment.
Your Committee was informed by the Legislative Auditor that, based
on his assessment, the affected telephone and telegraph account will
not be fully expended this fiscal year.
Your Committee on Finance concurs with the intent of Resolution
No . 288-91 and recommends its adoption.
