Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Communication
No. 2284, reports as follows :
The purpose of Communication No. 2284 is to recommend the appointment
of the following:
Liquor Control Adjudication Board
Ms . Gwen Sorensen, a democrat from Ka 'u, to fill
the vacancy of Ms . Dolores T. Oskins, for a term
ending December 31, 1995 . Ms . Sorensen is a
production analyst at Ka'u Agribusiness Co. , Inc.
Pursuant to Section 7-3 .3 of the Hawaii County
Charter, the Mayor shall appoint members to the
Commission to be confirmed by the Council, as
prescribed in Section 13-4 of the Hawaii County
Charter.
Your Committee advised the appointee of her individual responsibility
to attend each session of the board and directed her to actively
participate and vote her conscience on all issues brought before her .
Your Committee on Finance recommends approval of the appointment of
Ms . Gwen Sorensen to the Liquor Control Adjudication Board.
