Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Communication
No. 2284, reports as follows :
The purpose of Communication No. 2284 is to recommend the
appointment of the following:
Civil Service Commission
Mr. Joseph Mattos, an independent from North Kohala,
to fill the vacancy of Mr . Robert B. Paddock, for a
term ending December 31, 1995 . Mr. Mattos is a
nursery manager for Hawaiian Foliage and Landscaping.
Pursuant to Section 7-1.2 of the Hawaii County
Charter, the Mayor shall appoint members to the
Commission to be confirmed by the Council, as
prescribed in Section 13-4 of the Hawaii County
Charter .
Your Committee on Finance recommends approval of the appointment of
Mr. Joseph Mattos to the Civil Service Commission.
