Re: Investigator for Taxi Complaints
Enclosed is a copy of a memo from Fred Giannini to Tom
Brown of the Mass Transit Agency indicating that he had selected
Dan Boe to investigate taxi complaints which originate from
Hilo. I will follow-up with Mr. Giannini regarding his efforts
to obtain an investigator for the Kona area and will provide you
with that information as soon as possible.

SUBJECT: Investigation of Tazi Complaints
for Transportation Gommi~~ion
This concerns the selection of an investigator for the Hilo
complaints received by the Transportation Commission. I have
checked the rates for several investigators, based on a list
which I obtained from the Police Commission, which is attached
to this memorandum. Of these, I have chosen Legal Eyes, Ltd.,
whose phone number is 969-1743. This agency has a reasonable
rate and has worked for the County of Hawaii in the past. He
is reliable and is known by this office to be competent.
This purchase of services will be more than =1,000 and less
than X10,000. Therefore it falls under Hawaii Administrative
Rules, Title 3, Subtitle 11, Chapter 122, Subchapter 8,
concerning Small Purchases. HAR $3-122-75. Please refer the
tazi complaints originating from Hilo to Dan A. Boe of Legal
Eyes, with his fees to be paid out of Transportation
Commission funds.
