RESOLUTION NO. 492 14
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT FOR PORTABLE TOILETS AT THE PACIFIC
INTERNATIONAL SPACE CENTER FOR EXPLORATION SYSTEMS' ROBOTIC
MINING COMPETITION.
WHEREAS, the Pacific International Space Center for Exploration Systems (PISCES)
hosted the PISCES Robotic International Space Mining (PRISM) competition from July 21 to
July 25, 2014; and
WHEREAS, portable toilets were needed to maintain the clean environment and to
provide for the basic needs and comfort of the teams that were stationed at the test site on Mauna
Kea at the 9,000-foot elevation; and
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 3 will be appropriated to
the Department of Research and Development to reimburse PISCES for the costs associated with
the rental of portable toilets for the PRISM competition; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the
following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Research and Development and Director of Finance and that the
Director of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the
terms of this resolution.
