Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 471-14, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 471-14, transmitted by Finance Director Nancy Crawford, via
Communication No. 950 dated July 18, 2014, authorizes the Mayor to enter into a multi-year
Housing Assistance Payment Contract (Agreement) with the property owner of the project selected
for the Section 8 Project-Based Voucher Program (PBV Program) as offered through a Public
Notice dated April 13, 20, and 27, 2014.
The Office of Housing and Community Development has selected Na Kahua Hale 0 Ulu Wini,
Kamakana Villages (Senior Affordable Housing Community and Multi Family Affordable Housing
Community), and Mohouli Heights Neighborhood Residence, Phase II. This program makes rental
housing units available to low-income families.
There was no discussion on this measure.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 471-14, and
recommends its adoption.
