Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 275, reports as follows:
Bill No. 275,transmitted by Finance Director Nancy Crawford, via Communication No. 954 dated
July 18, 2014, amends Ordinance No. 14-82, as amended, relating to public improvements and financing
thereof for the fiscal year July 1, 2014, to June 30, 2015. The amendment is as follows:
PUBLIC WORKS:
Signals,New and Upgrades
(110.388.5389.13) $ 1,000,000
Funds for this appropriation increase shall be provided from:
General Obligation Bonds, Capital Projects Fund -
Fund Balance and/or Other Sources $ 1,000,000
Funds would be used to install new traffic and pedestrian signals, flashing lights, and other traffic
related devices.
There was no discussion on this measure.
Pursuant to Section 10-6(d), Hawai`i County Charter, the Council may amend the Capital Budget for
that year with a two-thirds vote.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 275, and recommends
its passage on first reading.
