Re: Images to use in testimony in support of Resolution 351-14.
Keoni Fox of the Keanu `Ghana and Laura Kaakua of The Trust for Public Land would
like to show four(4)pictures and maps to the Hawaii County Council's Committee on
Finance on April 15, 2014 during their testimony in support of Resolution 351-14. The
four images are attached to this cover letter.
The proposed Resolution 351-14 authorizes the Director of Finance to enter into
negotiations for the acquisition of the Ka`u parcels with Tax Map Keys: 9-5-011:001, 9-
5-011:004, 9-5-011:005, and 9-5-011:006 in the ahupua'a of Kaunamano; and Tax Map
Key: 9-5-012:001 in the ahupua'a of Poupouwela, pursuant to Chapter 2 Article 42,
Hawaii County Code 1983 (2005 Edition, As Amended). The Kaunamano properties
(1,264.395 acres)are listed as a key priority for purchase in the 2012 Annual Report of
the Public Access, Open Space, and Natural Resources Preservation Commission.
