counsel and is currently assigned to represent the Hawai`i County Police and Fire
Executive Director
CATHERINE BETTS Departments. I first met Ms. Stebbins through Catherine Betts, JD, a fellow
graduate of the University of Hawai`i's William S. Richardson School of Law and
current Executive Director of the Hawaii State Commission on the Status of
Women. For some time, Ms. Stebbins was also assigned to the Hawaii County
Committee on the Status of Women, of which I serve as an ex-officio in my
capacity as the Hawaii Island Commissioner on the State Commission on the
Status of Women.
I wholeheartedly encourage the Hawaii County Council to confirm
Ms. Stebbins. In addition to serving our county, having her at the top of the
Corporation Counsel is a shared victory for women and girls across our county.
