I have worked as a public attorney since 1980, for and with the supervision of a
number of City Attorneys and County Counsels. I have worked with Ms. Stebbins in the
Office of the Hawai'i Corporation Counsel for over six years.
I have seen in the work and character of Ms. Stebbins the kind of social skill,
experience, education, legal training, intelligence, political depth and ethical sense that
best exemplify the leader of a public legal team.
I support and recommend her appointment to be the Hawai'i County Corporation
Counsel without reservation, and I look forward to working for her.
