I am requesting to present a certificate of merit on September 17`", 2014 Council meeting being
held in Kona. The commendation is for the Keauhou Canoe Club who has won the 2014 HCRA
State AAA Division Championship.

Kauikeaouli Canoe Club,Named After Kamehameha III.
In 1983-84 The Club Changed Its Name To Keauhou,Which Means "New Beginning".
The Mission Of The Club Is To Educate Youth,Membership,And The Community At Large About The
Hawaiian Culture, Values,And Traditions While Promoting Competitive And Recreational
Canoe Paddling In Historic Keauhou Bay.
The Strength Of The Teams Contributed To The
Success And Accomplishments Of The Keauhou Canoe Club.
This Race Exemplified That Every Crew And Every Point Made A Difference At The End Of Day By
Winning The Championship By One Point.
It Is An Honor To Recognize The Club For The Dedication And Preseverance They Have Revealed.
The Hawai'i County Council Wishes To Commend You For Your Outstanding Accomplishments And
