REQUEST: The Hawai'i Fire Department is requesting a resolution authorizing the payment of funds in a later year and for more than one fiscal year for a multi-year lease to purchase one (1) multi-function copier. The lease would be for a term of five (5) years. The copier will be assigned to the Fire Department Administration Office. The estimated lease cost is cost of $200 per month for a sixty (60) month term. Payments will commence after delivery of equipment. B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): The lease for the existing copier has expired last fiscal year. It's currently producing poor copies and the document feeder, on occasion pulls multiple pages and results in incorrectly sequenced pages. The estimated FY 2014-2015 payments are currently budgeted in our FY 2014-2015 operating budget. Lease payments for subsequent years will be budgeted accordingly. Being that current fiscal year payments have been budgeted, the Department is requesting that the Finance Committee hearing be waived. • SIGNED: DATE: / Department Head VALERIE T.
