RESOLUTION NO. 515 14
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF
TRANSPORATION SERVICES FROM YOUNG BROTHERS, INC.
WHEREAS, Young Brothers, Inc. is donating transportation services with an
estimated value of$5,160; and
WHEREAS, the above donation covers the cost of shipping two (2) of five (5)
buses donated to the County of Hawaii by the City and County of Honolulu; and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides
that the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donations of money,
securities or other personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate,
and Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162 (a) of the Hawaii County Code states that
any gifts or donations of money, securities, or personal property which fall within the
capitalization procedures of the Department of Finance, may be accepted by
resolution approved by the Council; and
WHEREAS, the County of Hawai`i's Mass Transit Agency recommends the
acceptance of this donation; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that in
accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, and
Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162(a) of the Hawaii County Code, the Council of the
County of Hawaii accepts this donation.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that a letter of appreciation and a copy of this
resolution be sent Mr. Keith Kiyotoki, Account Manager, Marketing, Sales, and
Customer Service, Young Brothers, Inc., P.O. Box 3288, Honolulu, Hawaii 96801-
3288
