Res. 499-14: REQUESTS THAT THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAI‘I PASS
LEGISLATION TO ESTABLISH “VOTE BY MAIL” FOR ALL FEDERAL,
STATE, AND COUNTY PRIMARY, GENERAL, AND SPECIAL ELECTIONS
IN THE STATE OF HAWAI‘I, AND TO MAKE AN APPROPRIATION FOR
THIS METHOD OF VOTING
Requests that the State Legislature utilize the State of Oregon’s “Vote By Mail
Procedures Manual” to establish a Vote By Mail system as the exclusive method
for casting ballots, beginning with the 2016 Primary Election.
