JNty os p;' • COUNTY OF HAWAII •'�� / •: STATE OF HAWAII E os ses RESOLUTION NO. 529 14 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER FISCAL YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR A MULTI-YEAR LEASE OF A MULTIFUNCTION, COLOR COPY MACHINE FOR THE OFFICE OF THE COUNTY CLERK, SUPPORT SERVICES DIVISION. WHEREAS, the lease for the current multifunction, color copy machine, which is located in the Office of the County Clerk, Support Services Division, has recently expired; and WHEREAS, the monthly lease payment for a new multifunction, color copy machine will be approximately $2,500 per month, which is less than the current monthly payments; and WHEREAS, the Reprographics account (010.101.5101.21) for the current fiscal year contains sufficient funds for the lease of a new multifunction, color copy machine; and WHEREAS,pursuant to Article X, Section 10-11 of the County Charter, any contract, lease, or other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or of more than one fiscal year shall be made or approved by resolution; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Article XIII, Section 13-13 of the County Charter, the County may enter into contracts with private parties, which shall be signed by the Mayor and be approved by the Director of Finance as to the availability of funds; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a five (5) year lease agreement for a multifunction, color copy machine for approximately $2,500 per month for the Office of the County Clerk, Support Services Division. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that sufficient funds shall be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the anticipated obligations of the County under the terms of the agreement.
