* ''''''''''''''''''' <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII • �`''`=.��:• STATE OF HAWAII <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 533 14 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO HAWAII COUNTY <br /> ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITY COUNCIL FOR THE PURCHASE OF CITRIC ACID <br /> FOR THE NORTH AND SOUTH KONA, KA`U, AND GREATER VOLCANO AREAS <br /> OF COUNCIL DISTRICTS 6, 7, AND 8. <br /> WHEREAS, the Kona communities have experienced an infestation of coqui frogs and <br /> are challenged with the noise and nuisance that these frogs are causing; and <br /> WHEREAS, the coqui frogs negatively affect Hawai`i Island's economy, environment <br /> and quality of life; and <br /> WHEREAS, Hawai`i County Economic Opportunity Council (HCEOC) will use the <br /> funds to provide citric acid at a reasonable cost; and <br /> WHERAS,pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawai`i County Code, Contingency <br /> Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting county department/agency via resolution <br /> identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, activity, service, <br /> equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; and <br /> WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 7 will be appropriated to <br /> the Department of Research and Development to provide a grant to HCEOC purchase citric acid <br /> for the North and South Kona, Ka`u, and greater Volcano areas of Council Districts 6, 7, and 8; <br /> now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the <br /> following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below: <br /> FUND: GENERAL <br /> AMOUNT OF <br /> APPROPRIATION: $2,000 <br /> OUT AND FROM: <br /> 010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC —Contingency Relief $2,000 <br />
