RESOLUTION NO. 528 14
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND
FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND
RECREATION FOR THE WEST HAWAII VETERANS CEMETERY'S
REFORESTATION PROJECT.
WHEREAS, the West Hawai`i Veterans' Cemetery Development and Expansion
Association (WHVC) is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization that is dedicated to honoring our
veterans by maintaining and improving the facilities of the West Hawai`i Veterans Cemetery;
and
WHEREAS, the WHVC is involved with a dryland reforestation project using native
Hawaiian plants in the perimeter areas of the cemetery. WHVC is requesting financial assistance
to purchase native Hawaiian plants; and
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 6 will be appropriated to
the Department of Parks and Recreation for the West Hawai`i Veterans Cemetery's reforestation
project; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the
following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Parks and Recreation and the Director of Finance and that the
Director of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the
terms of this resolution.
