I am requesting at least one hour for a discussion with members of the Hawai`i State Legislature representing Hawai`i Island. I have sent all members of the delegation an invitation to this meeting, as noted in the attached sample letter. The two topics of discussion are: 1) What are the top priorities of the Senate and House for capital improvement projects on Hawai`i Island? 2) How can we improve communication about legislative proposals that are sponsored by Hawai`i Island state legislators? You are invited to the Hawaii County Council's Governmental Relations and Economic Development Committee meeting on October 14 at the West Hawaii Civic Center, tentatively scheduled for 9 a.m. The purpose of this discussion is to continue our dialogue between the State and County legislative branches. The topics are: 1) What are the top priorities of the Senate and the House for capital improvement projects on Hawaii Island? 2) How can we improve communication about legislative proposals that are sponsored by Hawaii Island state legislators?
