BILL NO. 305
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, ARTICLE 10, DIVISION 5, SECTION 24 -279,
SCHEDULE 27 OF THE HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983 (2005 EDITION, AS AMENDED),
RELATING TO PARKING ON PAVEMENT PROHIBITED AT ALL TIMES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`L
SECTION 1. This amendment is being proposed based on a request to restrict parking in
the subject areas due to people parking and encroaching into the travel way. This ordinance will
allow parking where there is sufficient unpaved shoulder width and will prohibit parking in all other
instances.
SECTION 2. Chapter 24, article 10, division 5, section 24 -279, schedule 27.
Parking on pavement prohibited at all times, paragraph (f), Kona, is amended by adding the
following new items and renumbering as required:
(� Ono Road."
SECTION 3. New material is underscored. In printing this ordinance, the underscoring
need not be included.
SECTION 4. Severability. If any provision of this ordinance, or the application thereof
to any person or circumstance, is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or
applications of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application,
and to this end, the provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
