SUBJECT: TRAFFIC CODE AMENDMENT:
FURNEAUX LANE — DELETE FREIGHT LOADING ZONE
We request the Hawai'i County Code, Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 6. Loading Zones,
Section 24-288, Schedule 36. Freight loading zones, Paragraph (c) South Hilo be
amended deleting existing item (4) and renumbering as required:
{,1) Furneaux Lane, southeast (Puna) side, from a point sixty three feet northeast of
four hours a day, seven days a week.
This amendment is being proposed based on a request from the adjacent property
owner that the loading zone is impeding the use of her driveway. The subject driveway
was formerly not used, but due a change in ownership and new use of the space, we
need to provide clear access to the driveway.
