BILL NO. 309
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, ARTICLE 10, DIVISION 6, SECTION 24 -288,
SCHEDULE 36 OF THE HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983 (2005 EDITION, AS AMENDED),
RELATING TO FREIGHT LOADING ZONES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL, OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. This amendment is being proposed based on a request from the adjacent
property owner because the current loading zone is impeding the use of her driveway. The subject
driveway was formerly not used, but due to a change in ownership and new use of the space, the
County should to provide clear access to the driveway.
SECTION 2. Chapter 24, article 10, division 6, section 24 -288, schedule 36.
Freight loading zones, paragraph (c) South Hilo is amended by deleting existing item (4) and
renumbering as required:

SECTION 3. Material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken. In printing this ordinance,
the brackets and bracketed and stricken material need not be included.
SECTION 4. Severability. If any provision of this ordinance, or the application thereof
to any person or circumstance, is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or
applications of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application,
and to this end, the provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
