�JSV.Os N,� <br />COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br />ire of N► N <br />RESOLUTION NO. 571 14 <br />A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br />AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br />DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO THE AMERICAN RED <br />CROSS, HAWAII STATE CHAPTER TO RECRUIT AND TRAIN VOLUNTEERS TO <br />PROVIDE DISASTER RELIEF FOR HAWAII ISLAND. <br />WHEREAS, a need has been identified for the recruitment and training of individuals to <br />provide disaster relief for the community of Hawaii Island; and <br />WHEREAS, the American Red Cross, Hawaii State Chapter is a 501(c)3 non-profit <br />organization and has provided and continues to provide our island with volunteers to assist the <br />community through the preparedness, response and recovery cycles of disaster; and <br />WHERAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawaii County Code, Contingency <br />Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting county department/agency via resolution <br />identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, activity, service, <br />equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; and <br />WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 8 will be appropriated to <br />the Department of Research and Development to provide a grant to recruit and train volunteers to <br />provide disaster relief for Hawaii Island; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the <br />following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below: <br />FUND: GENERAL <br />AMOUNT OF <br />APPROPRIATION: $5,000 <br />OUT AND FROM: <br />010.101.5101.91 Clerk -Council SVC — Contingency Relief $5,000 <br />CREDITED TO: <br />010.161.5162.98 Department of Research and Development $5,000 <br />Hi.
