RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER
FISCAL YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR A MULTI-
YEAR LEASE FOR ONE (1) CREW CAB PICKUP TRUCK FOR THE
DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT
WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, lease or
other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or of
more than one fiscal year be approved by resolution; and
WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii wishes to enter into a multi-year lease agreement for
five (5) years, for one (1) three-quarter (3/4) ton crew -cab pickup truck; and
WHEREAS, this equipment is to be used for the transport of freight, supplies and
personnel for the Department of Environmental Management; and
WHEREAS, the equipment to be replaced is approximately 18 years old and has been
permanently removed from service; now, therefore;
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a five (5) year lease
agreement for one (1) three-quarter (3/4) ton crew -cab pickup truck for the
Department of Environmental Management.
2. That sufficient funds be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the
anticipated obligations of the County under the terms of the agreement.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk of the County of Hawaii shall
transmit copies of this resolution to the Office of the Mayor, the Finance Department, and
to the Department of Environmental Management.
