COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII RESOLUTION NO. 580 14 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION OF TANKER APPARATUS FROM MAUI COUNTY WHEREAS, Maui County donating a tanker apparatus to the Hawaii Fire Department; and WHEREAS, the tanker apparatus will be assigned as part of the apparatus fleet for the reactivation of Station 10A - Pahoa Fire Station Annex; and WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides that the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donations of money, securities or other personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate, and Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162 (a) of the Hawaii County Code states that any gifts or donations of money, securities, or personal property which fall within the capitalization procedures of the Department of Finance, may be accepted by resolution approved by the Council; and WHEREAS, Hawaii Fire Department recommends the acceptance of this donation; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that in accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, and Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162(x) of the Hawaii County Code, the Council of the County of Hawaii accepts this donation.
