RESOLUTION NO. 589 14
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING /APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO THE
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNTS FOR MAINTENANCE EQUIPMENT FOR THE
DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION, PARKS MAINTENANCE DIVISION.
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation, Parks Maintenance Division
maintains, repairs, renovates, and constructs neighborhood parks, playgrounds ball fields,
buildings, and other recreational facilities; and
WHEREAS, one of the Departmental goals is to provide for safe facilities and grounds
by correcting hazards on a timely basis, which replacing old maintenance equipment would
greatly enhance the capabilities and production of the Department of Parks and Recreation, Parks
Maintenance Divison; and
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 3 will be appropriated to
the Department of Parks and Recreation for the purchase of maintenance equipment; now,
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the
following amount is hereby transferred /appropriated as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Parks and Recreation and Director of Finance and that the Director
of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of
this resolution.
