Thank you for the opportunity to submit testimony in strong support of Bill 302. 1 strongly support prohibiting the use of
Electronic Smoking Devices in places open to the public and places of employment, as well as including "electronic
smoking devices" in the definition of "tobacco product" and "smoke or smoking" in the County of Hawaii.
I support treating ESDs similarly to other tobacco products and restricted to the same sale, distribution, and display
requirements as cigarettes and other tobacco products.
I urge you to pass Bill 302 in order to provide protection for the public. Hawaii County has the most progressive tobacco
control legislation in the nation. Let's keep it that way.
