Aloha, council members,
Though I don't live in puna, I feel that the people there are my neighbors — on the same canoe. What affects them,
affects the rest of our island population.
I'm writing regarding the hydrogen sulfide release Aug 7 with people trapped in their neighborhoods. I support
Councilwoman Ford's Comm. 1009 that REQUESTS A REPORT FROM THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR AND
THE CIVIL DEFENSE ADMINISTRATOR ON HURRICANE/TROPICAL STORM ISELLE' S IMPACT ON THE
PUNA COMMUNITY.
Investigation and corrections need to made to stop this from ever happening again. And PGV needs to shut down
operations before lava cuts power and causes another release.
Mahalo for considering my views and for supporting the safety and other needs of our island's residents.
Sincerely,
Janice palma- glennie
