E -Cig Testimony
Aloha all,
Regarding the request for testimony about E -Cig use, unfortunately, I will be entertaining guests from the mainland so
will not be able to attend in person. I offer the following statement for testimony:
On a recent golf lesson, the driver of my cart was using an E -Cig and exhaled at the same time that she started driving so
the wind blew what she exhaled into my mouth and lungs. I went into a full -on Asthma attack causing me to need a
rescue inhaler as my lungs were closing. I believe that E -Cigs are not safe and were made available for purchase without
enough research leaving the American public at greater health risk. I am in favor of anything that can be done to
eliminate the use of E -Cigs. On an island that already has atmospheric conditions that affect our clean air quality, we
shouldn't add more "fuel to the fire" that affects our health and good quality of life. Mahalo for your consideration.
