RESOLUTION NO. 19 14
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING /APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT FOR THE PURCHASE OF TWO "STEALTH STAT
SELF - RADARS" FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT.
WHEREAS, the enforcement of speed limits is critical to maintaining safe roads within
Hawaii County; and
WHEREAS, undetected vehicular speeding threatens the safety of residents; and
WHEREAS, the Police Department utilizes various tools to help identify vehicular speed
limit violations; and
WHEREAS, the "Stealth Stat Self - Radar" has proven to be an effective device to the
Police Department in its efforts to enforce speed limits; and
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 3 will be appropriated to
the Police Department for the purchase of two "Stealth Stat Self- Radars "; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the
following amount is hereby transferred /appropriated as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward a copy of this
resolution to the Chief of Police and the Director of Finance and that the Director of Finance is
hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of this resolution.
