Dear Chairman Arakaki and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate for reappointment Paul T. Matsumoto of Council
District 3 to the Hawaii County Transportation Commission.
Mr. Matsumoto is a life-time resident of Hawaii and has been retired since 1998.
Prior to that, he was a co-owner of Ainaola Cash & Carry (1986-1990), and a
welder/machinist with Yamada & Sons (1981-1986). He is active with the
Waiakea-uka Kumiai and the Waiakea-uka PTA. He is a member of the
Democratic Party.
If approved, Mr. Matsumoto will serve a term to end December 31, 2003. Should
the Council have any questions regarding this nomination, you may contact me
