BILL NO. 2
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, ARTICLE 10, DIVISION 1, SECTION 24-
255, SCHEDULE 3 OF THE HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983 (2005 EDITION, AS
AMENDED), RELATING TO 25 MPH SPEED LIMIT.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. This amendment is being proposed as part of a request to review and
possibly increase the speed limit along a portion of Wright Road.
SECTION 2. Chapter 24, article 10, division 1, section 24 -255, schedule 3.
25 mile per hour limit, paragraph (g) Puna is amended by revising existing item (30) to read as
follows:
"(30) Wright Road, [in Vole ne Village.] from its southwestern terminus to Olomea Road."
SECTION 3. Chapter 24, article 10, division 1, section 24 -255, schedule 3. 25 mile per hour
limit, paragraph (g) Puna is amended by adding the following new items and renumbering as required:
"O Amaumau Road."
"() Mahi`ai Road, from its northeastern terminus to Amaumau Road."
"O Wright Road from a point six thousand six hundred eighty -five feet northwest of
Olomea road to its northwestern terminus."
SECTION 4. Material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken. New material is
underscored. In printing this ordinance, the brackets, bracketed and stricken material and
underscoring need not be included.
SECTION 5. Severability. If any provision of this ordinance, or the application thereof
to any person or circumstance, is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or
applications of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application,
and to this end, the provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable.
SECTION 6. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
