Re: Resolution for Copy Machines
Enclosed is a resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into afive-year lease
agreement with purchase options for nine copy machines for the Police
Department. The present machines are constantly breaking down, which
cause hardship and inconvenience to the different divisions and sections of the
department.

A. REQUEST:
To enter into a multi-year lease for five (5) years with an option to
purchase for nine (9) copy machines, one for each district (North Hilo,
Hamakua, Waimea, Kohala, Kau, Keaau and Pahoa), Criminal Investigation
Division and one for Kona Driver License.
B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION FUSE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS.NEEDE~:
The machines presently in these sections are constantly breaking down
which causes hardship. It at times may cause some work to come to a
halt.
The 5-year lease on these machines has ended. Because of the end of
the lease and the poor condition of the machines, the department would
like to qet new machines.
