My message to the Committee:
Aloha Chair Wille and Committee Members,
I am a frequent visitor to your beautiful islands and I support Bill
318 protecting Hawaii's reef wildlife from harmful aquarium trade
starvation and insufficient water volume during shipping.
I am totally shocked that the State of Hawaii allows people to
profit from the sale of Wild Life. Nowhere in the rest of the United
States of America does this phenomenon happen.
All of America Wildlife is protected from capture for live sales.
Hunting and fishing is allowed but not capture of living wild
species for profit. Can you imagine people selling wild birds? selling
baby deer? hawks? eagles? for protit.No it is unthinkable because we
value wildlife too much. Just because fish are underwater does not
mean we do not care.
Hawaii needs to conserve it's precious reef wildlife and stop the
wholesale destruction and slaughter of native fishes, invertebrates
and corals. Please begin the process of saving your future. The
ecosystems are being attacked for profit. They can rebound and be
replenished if you help them.
I am so disappointed in lawmakers and people in authority that allow
Hawaii to be stripped of native wildlife.
The fact is Hawaii Wildlife is Priceless and should be protected and
saved for future generations.
