Aloha Hawaii County County Council Members,
As a larger wholesale/ retailer of aquarium fish on Oahu, I believe that my business of 40 years would
be severely impacted if this bill were to pass.
The animal cruelty issue that this bill raises is ridiculous. Tropical fish do not need 1 gal of water to
arrive in
good shape and if this were to pass, the cost of shipping Hawaiian fish would be prohibitive- leading to
the collapse
of this scientifically proven sustainable fishery.
The introduction of this bill is a last ditch effort by certain animal rights activists and eco terriorists to
shut down
a locally sustainable industry. AUWE !!!
