My message to the Committee:
Aloha Chair Wille and Committee Members,
I support Bill 318 protecting Hawaii's reef wildlife from harmful
aquarium trade starvation and insufficient water volume during
shipping.
Over the last 25 years, there has been a drastic loss of reef
wildlife and it is devastating for residents and visitors alike to
seethe sad remains of what once was a vibrant coral reef ecosystem
Please pass this bill to protect life and eliminate the possibility of
even graver conditions in the reef. Sometimes when I am in the
water,it seems to be approaching a loss of all fish life .
There is no need for this industry to decimate what once was a
thriving coral reef and all its creatures. They can change their
practices and farm instead ;and have healthy conditions for the fish
they are making a living from.
What will we tell our grandchildren and all future generations?
