My message to the Committee:
Aloha Chair Wille and Committee Members,
I support Bill 318 protecting Hawaii's reef wildlife from harmful
aquarium trade starvation and insufficient water volume during
shipping.
Born and raised in the islands, and I am concerned about the
overfishing both for consumption, and for profit. While 1 understand
the need to make a living, if we do not control the harvesting of our
oceans, it will lead to extinction.
It is my hopes that harvesting our oceans for the aquarium trade be
extremely controlled and limited. If they concentrate their efforts
into raising stock, instead of harvesting, this might have a
different. effect.
