A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO PUNA COMMUNITY
MEDICAL CENTER FOR THE ANNEX CLINIC.
WHEREAS, the Puna Community Medical Center ("PCMC") is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit
organization; and
WHEREAS, PCMC has established an annex clinic away from the projected path of the
June 27th lava flow, and funds will be needed for operational or rental assistance to continue
providing medical services to Puna; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawaii County Code,
Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via
resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event,
activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; and
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 4 will be appropriated to
the Civil Defense Agency to provide a grant to PCMC for the annex clinic on the other side of
the flow; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the
following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward a copy of this
resolution to the Civil Defense Administrator and Director of Finance, and that the Director of
Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of this
resolution.
