A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT FOR A BOOM TRUCK FOR THE PANA`EWA
RAINFOREST ZOO AND GARDENS.
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation has identified the need for a boom
truck for effective maintenance at the Pana`ewa Rainforest Zoo and Gardens; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation has deferred the purchase of new
equipment due to budget constraints, but finds it difficult to keep the Pana`ewa Rainforest Zoo
and Gardens in optimal condition for the benefit of patrons; and
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 3 will be appropriated to
the Department of Parks and Recreation for the purchase of a boom truck; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the
following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Parks and Recreation and the Director of Finance, and that the
Director of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the
terms of this resolution.
