Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Capital Budget by re- appropriating lapsed fuel tax
funds from past fiscal years. These funds will be appropriated as indicated in Exhibit "A" of the
proposed ordinance. The sources of the lapsed funds are as follows:

Reappropriate the lapsed Fuel Tax Increase funds back to the original districts /categories.
See attached. TOTAL = $3,385,788.63
B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
At June 30, 2014, there was a total of $3,385,788.63 of lapsed Fuel Tax Increase funds which need to be
reappropriated in order for the Department of Public Works to expend them. The funds are presently in the
following accounts of the Capital Projects Fund:
