Ms. Sako served as the Deputy Director of Finance from December 2008 to present. Prior to her appointment to Deputy Director, she was the Controller for Finance from March 2001 and also served as an Accountant III for the Department of Parks & Recreation from September 1999 to February 2001. Pursuant to Rule 5(6)(g) of the Rules of Procedure and Organization of the Council of the County of Hawaii, we respectfully request a waiver of this nomination through committee so that it may be considered by the full County Council on January 7, 2015. Sako Relevant Work Experience: County of Hawaii, September 1999 to present: Deputy Director, Department of Finance, December 2008 to present: Duties include assisting the Director of Finance in overseeing the eight divisions under Finance: Accounts, Budget, Property Management, Purchasing, Risk Management, Real Property Tax, Treasury, and Vehicle Registration and Licensing, in addition to administrative staff.
