Aloha,
Please see attached photos of our Kohala Elementary School Discovery Garden. Our garden was
established in 2010 thanks to the support of the Kohala Center and the 21 st Century Community
Learning Center Federal Grant. In 5 years we have serviced over 600 of Kohala's keiki and harvested
over 1500 lbs of produced used for cooking, fundraising, and STEM education.
I whole-heartedly support Resolution 582-14. Hawaii's keiki and Hawaii's future is depending on this
resolution.
