Re: Resolution Accepting Donation
Enclosed is a resolution accepting the donation of Manitowock self - contained ice
machine, valued at $3,050.00 to the Department of Parks and Recreation. This donation,
from the Queen Lili`uokalani Children's Center, Hilo Unit, 919 Ululani Street, 96720, is
to assist coaches and the Department's staff implement concessions, fundraising, and
other activities associated with Keaukaha -based athletics. The equipment will be used
exclusively at the Kawananakoa Gym.

To accept the donation of a Manitowock Self- Contained Ice Machine (Model #UD- 2040A) from the Queen
Liliuokalani Children's Center, Hilo Unit at 919 Ululani Street, Hilo. This ice machine shall be utilized at the
Kawananakoa Gym in Keaukaha to support current athletic offerings. The value of the ice machine is
$3,050.00.
B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
The Queen Liliuokalani Children's Center, Hilo Unit at 919 Ululani Street, Hilo, is donating a Manitowoc Self -
Contained Ice Machine (Model #UD- 2040A) to assist coaches and Parks and Recreation staff to engage in
implementing concessions, fundraising activities and other activities associated with Keaukaha -based
athletics. This ice machine shall be used for the exclusive use of the Keaukaha Gym.

RE: Resolution No. 52 -15 : RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF
A DONATION OF A SELF - CONTAINED ICE MACHINE TO THE DEPARTMENT OF
PARKS AND RECREATION
Pursuant to Section 2(g) of Rule 4 of the Rules of Procedure of the Council of the County of
Hawaii, this written request is submitted with my approval that the above - referenced matter be
waived from the Committee on Finance to the full Council for immediate action. In reviewing
this matter, timely approval is crucial. It is therefore advantageous that approval is granted and
the matter be placed onto the next Council agenda for review. However, in the event this request
is denied, for whatever reason, I understand the matter shall be referred to the Committee on
Finance for placement on its future agenda.
