Miura <br />Deputy Director <br />w <br />The Department of Human Resources Workers' Compensation Division would like to renew <br />their agreement with the State of Hawaii Department of Human Resources Development to <br />provide workers' compensation administration services for the Department of Parks and <br />Recreation and for the Police Department. The service provided by the State has been a cost <br />effective solution in reducing the number of open claims for the County. <br />Enclosed is a resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the State of <br />Hawaii Human Resources Development to provide workers' compensation administrative <br />services. <br />The Department of Human Resources requests that this resolution be waived from the Finance <br />Committee and be placed on the February 4, 2015 Council Agenda due to the expiration of the <br />current agreement on March 31, 2015.
