1) have not heard anything
2) check Star Advertiser yesterday. Interview with Governor who commented on TAT. believe no consensus with BI
delegation on this issue.
3) starting today all agencies are submitting budget requests to joint finance, ways and means committee hearings. we
will be watching for their CIP requests. I believe there is support for education and higher education requests, and look to
improve transportation and agriculture infrastructure. A really big issue is our healthcare facilities. Supreme Court Chief
Justice wants full funding for the Kona Courthouse.

me any comments you are able to make about the topics up for discussion:
1) home rule... county authority to address matters affecting health and
agriculture
2) the TAT revenues — removing the cap for the counties' portion
3) any particular capital projects here that you are seeking state funds for.
PERHAPS YOU CAN DISCUSS THESE ISSUES AT YOUR HAWAII ISLAND DELEGATION MEETING!
